 This could have been a lot better. The trailer makes it look pretty funny, and it is, but something went wrong from script to screen. Most obvious among its oopses are the hamfisted digital effects. Highly ambitious action set pieces look like something hacked from a visit to Toys’R’Us and are so truncated we’re left to assume a lot of it was simply thrown out in the edit.
Our Guy proves a natural at the muscle-bound wise-cracking thing.
