Up until it starts trying to justify it’s underlying science, Source Code looks for all the world like a classy, economical sci-fi thriller. But it’s unclear whether it’s us or the writers who never quite grasp what they’re talking about, or whether their awareness of quantum physics and time theory is much more than that – or how they figure what amounts to spirit possession has anything to do with it. Good fun if you don’t mind progressively lowering your expectations then finally copping a slap across the face with a wet haddock.
