Oh God, another massive wankfest from Mr Cruise. I hate these kind of films – endless running around to lovely locations with lots and lots of mind-numbing action to distract us from the supreme ridiculousness of the thing formerly known as “The Plot”. All sound and fury signifying nothing. Everyone is fairly good looking except for Simon Pegg who plays the loveable-but-out-of-his-depth computer nerd. It’s earnest and Tom is tortured by the love he left behind and so is everyone else (except for Pegg). In the end, I started folding the washing and really enjoying the feel of the fabric to alleviate the dull, emptiness of this experience.
